Karaoke comes from the Japanese term KARA meaning "empty" and OKE meaning "orchestra". It is pronounced (care-e-o-key), and is a form of entertainment in which amateur singers sing along with recorded music using a microphone and a PA system. The music is typically a well-known pop song in which the voice of the original singer is removed or reduced in volume. Lyrics are displayed on a video screen, along with a moving symbol or changing color, to guide the singer. It is extremely fun and addicting!
Pyramid Productions has a huge database of karaoke songs, over 50,000+ and growing! We provide state of the art equipment for professional sound and video monitors (if needed). We have local shows in the area, and are always looking to for new venues to service. Please stop by at one of our shows!
Q: Why choose Pyramid Productions?
A: Simple, we were honored as BEST KARAOKE in the Waterbury, CT area, we have experienced hosts, great sound, and a ton of songs!
Q: Do you change hosts at your shows?
A: NO! The worst thing you can do is change your weekly host. Karaoke singers get used to a certain host and actually look forward to seeing them!
Q: Do you have as many songs as other companies?
A: Not sure, but I believe we have the similar databases.
Q: Do you provide good sound?
A: The best of course! Look, I've been to many other shows in my life and my biggest peev is that other companies use lousy equipment or they just don't know how to use it. I absolutely hate singing into a "dead" mic, it's like singing into a block of wood! Turn it up, let the people be heard!
Q: You don't have many shows, how come?
A: There are a few karaoke services that have many weekly shows, but lack quality hosts. That's the downfall of many shows. We concentrate on putting out quality shows rather than quantity.
